Initial Idea 5

= Taking a step back from the fruit stickers and nostalgia idea, I wanted to produce something which was aesthetically pleasing

= Struggling to generate ideas I always find that going back to basics and making fun things tends to help my development and process

= This piece ended up lending itself to the theme of listening, hearing, phones, music and so on

= Everything around the sense of your ears

= This was inspired by thinking about how children would perceive someone telling them off for doing fun silly things. Why does an adult have to be 'mature' or change their ways for the stereotypical gender norms?

= Following a 90s aesthetic of old phones and a teenage feeling of fuck you that I used to have, this phone lent itself to this new theme of 'i can't hear you'

= the sticker layout elevates this sense of nostalgia and the punky teenage aesthetic, the feeling that sticking tiny messages everywhere is a form of rebellion

= this idea still keeps the way I feel about gender stereotypes and boundaries very subtle and instead veers it towards something more playful and less serious

= How would this be applied to clothes?
= This would work very well with the idea of iron on patches that could be printed, and the idea of adapting clothes in the way you want (more inclusive)
= You can change your clothes with different patches and designs, anyone can apply these patches to clothes they already own (more affordable and therefore for a larger less prestige target audience)
= Means the focus is on the design of the patches rather than the clothes themselves, which lends well with being a designer rather than fashion expert
= These can also still be made into clothes designs
