Something More Feedback

  - graphic traffic light?

- bit serendipitous

- should have kept the original yellow tones rather than green

- really fun, great idea

- would this solution help or hinder the problem?

- it could create the effect of more polarisation

- trying to convert people, this logo idea may be too mocking or humorous

SELF- EVALUATION

I find these types of briefs not very engaging because they are not specifically directed within my interests. Although as a group we adapted the brief to be within a subject we all found interesting, I find that if a brief isn't within a scope I am passionate about it is more difficult. I also need to remember that briefs set by other people follow the same process as briefs I set for myself: Inform everything through research! It's easy to approach a brief I don't like with a mindset of 'create something quickly and through just ideas I have'.

It felt easy as a brief within the group as I spent a lot of time organising everyone and giving out roles and time planning, but overall having to do that with people who don't work well means I spend less time on the creative side of things, which is frustrating.

The feedback we received from Something More aligned with ideas and developments we had already had or made, such as keeping the traffic light colour system more to Trump's skin colour (yellow, orange, red). Having evaluated this idea and deciding it didn't communicate as effectively, the overall project was successful, especially as there were no other suggestions by Something More.

For future briefs in the Extended Project it would be challenging but important for me to approach more live and competition briefs that are already set, in order for me to get used to approaching and completing them alone.
