Clothes Finalising + Shoot planning

 MAKE-UP

> All the looks developed were made with the playful, vibrant and rebellious ethos to mind

> The make up will coincide with the general brand aesthetic and therefore elevate the branding video to be more cohesive and refined

 CLOTHING FINALISATIONS

=  extra planning of logos onto the clothes was done to ensure that the branding is clear in the branding video
= this ensures the brand's identity is clear and prominent throughout and can therefore make its mark on the viewer

= The different ways in which the logo and brand identity is painted onto the customised clothes portrays the different ways in which the visual identity can be adapted and used to present the brand
= There is always the same type, but each word can be put in different layouts as long as the order of the words is clear
= The 3D dimension of the letterforms can be left out, or included using a range of colours within the main consistent colour scheme of yellow, pink, blue and white. It can also be a stroke rather than fill 3D element

= Practising of different sewing patterns, one of which was used on a t-shirt experiment to see if the stitching could be adapted to match the specific patch or piece of clothing eg. circle stitch to match circular design
= However these were slow to sew and got jammed easily and so the original zig zag stitching was used, which is effective in being a prominent stitch and therefore makes the patches look more like traditional patches (which are embroidered rather than printed)
= It also gives the clothing a more rebellious feel and hand stitched messy aesthetic in line with the brand's ethos

= Patches high up on trouser legs more difficult to sew and same for on the leather jacket, as it has shoulder pads and therefore much more fabric for the needle to sew through
= When these wouldn't sew on I sewed it onto left over white scrap fabric from the print outs and then glued this to the jacket, to give the allusion of it being sewed on

= Difficult to sew onto t-shirts surprisingly as it slips under the needle
= Found that and ruined a t-shirt
= Needed sewing pins to keep down the patches on the fabric more but these weren't available
= Using safety pins instead but of course this doesn't give as much grip as lots of sewing pins
= A lot of times when patches would move near the end of sewing on the patch there would be a bump of extra fabric of the patch
= cutting a slit into it meant sewing all of it flat down however this of course distorted the patches designs and so for some they had to be unpicked
