COLLAGE EXPERIMENT

= Keeping with ideas of presenting something digital through screenshots and a collage aesthetic this double spread was developed using Elle's photography as an experiment for the section on her Only Fans story

=  Involving texts gives it that digital aesthetic cross over with print, and the ironic plays on the mouse as 'clickbait' and 'tap that' on the keyboard make this connection between the sexual element and digital world in a 3D perspective 

= Wanted to keep an experimental somewhat hand-made aesthetic, rather than a polished digital aesthetic as this reflects the home-made direction of a woman working from her room to make money through her computer and phone 

= It also captures this old 90s zine visual which appeals to the target audience of this magazine 

= Sexual references throughout spread in the repeated peaches, aubergine and devil face emoji translated into a photograph of a man in a devil mask 



= After coming up with the tongue-in-cheek texts I found that these were the best use for the text screenshots 

= 3D text replaced this to give an additional element to the layout and dimensions 

= Additional line orbs also create an internet, digital aesthetic and balance in the spread 


3D Digital Experiments 



> The collage experiments work better as overall aesthetic and layout as it feels balanced and has lots of interesting things going on
> Perhaps if this digital 3D version had comedic elements to it as well it would elevate it eg. putting a 3D aubergine in there 
> Treat it the same tone and direction 
> Text from the transcript could be used as highlighted quotes in this format 
> What about making the text format 3D in this aesthetic?

Identity EVALUATION

Alike to GAIA EXRTH, it was disappointing not being able to complete the brief within the timescale set out. I recognise that I like working a lot on passion projects and pushing them further and further, to the point that perhaps the goals I set are unrealistic or I spend too long on one level/area of the project. In this case this was a research brief and I set out to spend a lot of time doing research and testing ideas. I found this a more difficult brief to do within the covid landscape and felt less inspired, as I wanted to go out into the world and look at things, ask people, visit places and so on. This meant this project took a back seat and by the end of the year revisiting it so late on meant there was no time to fulfil the visions I had for the project. It's exciting however to have so many projects I'm interested in to be continuing after uni as it means I can keep the momentum up of designing and producing more ideas and more work. PPP Task 1 Research

  LAYOUTS and UX I've noticed design studios use for their sites: 1. Simple white layout or black and white layout, sans-serif bold text, no specific logo or style present, scroll down box images of each project 2. Introductory logo used as image window or general logo, interaction leads into actual site  3. More interesting layout utilises UX more and guides the user through the different areas with seamless arrows  4.
