Insta Finalisation + Branding Video Editing

= Wanted to have three posts alongside each other to create an elongated post from the main profile view

= Played around with seeing what having the patches individually would look like behind individual with multiply and colour but needed refining

= Idea itself can be successful, use print patterns?

= For a line of single image posts using single pictures of models and a strong repeated pattern background

= This is the main time the prints are presented rather than the patches

= Creating levels between the background and foreground for dimension and for a more scrap book aesthetic an outline around each person was added

= Paint tool first used but found that the edges were too wobbly and that creating the shape with the pen tool with smoother lines was better and more defined

= Alongside the created posts there are photos taken by the models themselves and pictures 'customers' have taken to present the real side of the brand, how the consumer interacts with it
= The target audience of young people engage with these pictures influencers and individuals take themselves just as much as brand made visuals and so it's important to include

= Feed is successful in presenting the brand's ethos with a colourful, playful and bold aesthetic. It features the individuals as much as the product itself, an important direction to the brand in reflecting the key value of people - who they are and what they want. It has a scrap book, collage visual to portray the DIY and customising ethos of the brand.

> Only thing is to add the video once it is made to the insta feed and create a recording of this on mock up

NOTES on development of film editing with Lina

https://youtu.be/8aMG_SEzSHU

- Make up scene too experimental to start with
- Needs refining eg. not stretching images only distorting with interesting overlaying of photos in different colours on each other or the wave effect
- This wave effect is interesting because it blurs the lines between the foreground and background of the makeup footage, creating the perfect tone for stage 2 of the party scene
- Too much distortion and stretching makes the images look tacky rather than interesting
- The viewer should also see the make up scene for what it is organically before the experimental editing comes in so that the transitioning towards the party scene is smoother

- Hints of this saturated, colourful aesthetic later on in stage 2 through a flash of colour on the stairs footage is really successful
- Layout of overlaying images should be more balanced in places, with recognition of edges of the screen and equal amounts of negative space, which will ensure the focus remains on the images themselves rather than a distracting layout
- Editing of the film shouldn't completely overtake the photographs and the depictions of the brand and its products
- Scenes with overlaying photos should always start off with little to no effects to allow the viewer to see the images naturally, and the editing comes into play to reiterate this sense of rebellion, colour and playfulness

- Background footage should avoid showing too much of the living room environment, it's okay to show edges of the sheet for a at home studio and down to earth aesthetic but too much and it feels low quality and unprofessional, it also could distract the viewer from the focus of the individuals and what they are doing
