Development of Spreads 2

> As Rhianna wants some specific photos to be prominent, full bleed and untampered with, I have to design these in a way that it doesn't feel inconsistent with the rest of the publication with the lack of detail and graphics

> Simple wireframes work well for this as they provide detail without being too prominent and create a futuristic tone

> Rhianna Feedback: Reduce opacity of wireframes, don't want them too prominent on photos

> Colour tones between the two photos don't balance well within the spread
> Left is more pink tones, while right is silvers, contrast between warm and cold
> Manipulation of left image to be less warm by reducing the red tones and adding more blue

> Rhianna Feedback: Colours off on the left photo needs to be changed. Will altar the image to be more consistent in tone with right image but in way that doesn't impact the tone of her skin

> Return to spread design from yesterday with fresh mind
> Removal of 3D element as this wasn't the right tone for the spread, as well as the contradicting two tones of colourful with monochrome
> Research on more futuristic interesting typefaces meant more inspiration for new designs and layouts
> As this publication is a visual journey, there is importance on the typefaces as they can elevate the futuristic design and tone
> Layering of type over detail visuals plays with this idea of dimensions

> Space to fill on the right spread but no other images carry this rainbow colour aesthetic as the left image
> This spread will have to be a contrast of colours at some level, but this can be done in an interesting way that feels cohesive

> While playing around with images to drop into the right spread, I accidentally placed an image full bleed into the right page, but this close crop works really successfully
> Less detail within the photo as its more zoomed in, however it still acts as a photo visual

> Rhianna Feedback: Use different image in the close crop as this image should have prominence on another page with less overlaying detail

> Placement of different image works successfully with more space for details above to be moved and for these different elements to have the needed balance for individual focus

> Following wanting to explore the 3D side produced 3D metallic type on words around the subject of transhumanism
> Important images chosen by Rhianna that need focus and prominence allow strong type direction as they can be placed around the images without affecting the image itself, unlike other spreads where images are more interactive with the graphics
> Silver metallic drops give this additional detail to the metallic aesthetic

> Type on left feels overcomplicated and layers too much on the image?
> Holographic can have opacity reduced to reflect the holographic quality

> Allow more space for the metallic drops to be seen and to show the image being enveloped by them?

> Simplifying of spread, reducing the amount of silver drops
> Gold tones in images with silver tones of details and graphics work well as a contrast, which was trying to be achieved in previously when trying 3D type

> Personally think the image on the right is not necessarily a very interesting image within the theme of futurism, just looks like a girl with make up
> Other images could go here in her place but would Rhianna want to keep the picture in the publication?
> Doesn't necessarily go with the spread topic of 'holographic avatars' either, whilst the left one does
> Idea that as the viewer you could pick which avatar you wanted to buy to add to a wardrobe of avatars in this future year of 3000
