FEEDBACK + REFINING
> Too many different aesthetics in the posters
> Looking back at brief he wants simplicity, there are still too many elements in this aesthetic
> Need to cut back colours and layouts
> Third poster works very successfully, whilst the second one feels less refined and out of place
> What about keeping with the original poster layout using all of the original distorted type, and super crop zooming into the this poster with the event details as the other three posters
> Colours would differentiate between all posters between the three colours as discussed previously
> Should the main body of PLAY type distort in different ways so that it alters? Would this be too much change when the colours are changing? There should only be one change for focus
COLOURE REFINEMENTS
> Use of muted pink is nice with the bright blue
> Still prefer the bright vivid pink in the first collage, stands out more
> Yellow could be the muted tone?
> Splashes of yellow for texture vs the splodges with a gradient?
> Original crayon texture works better and the muted colour also
> Simplicity of having the text from the original poster initial idea on a plain fill background works well
> Other posters in the 6 poster series could use close crops into this type layout, focussing on each part of information eg. the time for one or the sponsorship for another
> These detail posters would involve the collage and crayon textures and layering
ANIMATION EXPERIMENTATIONS
> Brief says preference for animation
> How can we play around with clips from the films of the event to interact with the type and text we have so far?
> Film clips projected onto sheets to create a sense of movement and distortion
> Using extra physical layers makes you look at the films in a different way and therefore plays with distortion
> It doesn't actually have relevance so far with the project or films but so far is an interesting experiment
