Animating + Content Development
ANIMATIONS
> Had so many problems trying to animate the second part 'TIPS N TRICKS'
> Photoshop became buggy and would not set keyframes when changes were made
> Attempted to switch to aftereffects but options to change the extrusion of the shape were not available, and researching why led to a whole additional set of problems
> Attempts to recreate it again on photoshop began to work but found that the movement of the 3D camera created a completely different video than what I thought I had made
> Really frustrating as my laptop obviously cannot deal with 3D developments
> Spent too much time on this already
> Found that if I used mesh to move the object in the same place this worked
> However exporting as GIF would crash and rendering export would create a video where the object doesn't move, despite it moving on photoshop
> Attempts to redo these processes again and again with no success
> Need to leave it as spent two days nearly on these
> TIPS N TRICKS article design
> Very Tumblr aesthetic, strong digital
> Too much space? Feels unbalanced
> Wave type not very old internet aesthetic, as all text and images followed square by square grids, circles and rounded edges harder to do
> Time pattern, abstract as background, but in symbol presents the time you're waiting till you're back with your partner = what the lockdown feels like
> Could be too complicated?
> Feels appropriate for the early internet aesthetic
> text still legible on 3D boxes
> Additional pull quote not legible however, add additional box?
> Pixelate disintegrating in a 2000s word presentation aesthetic
> Doesn't work with overall design here as it is its own design in itself, too complicated
> Additional design on its own?
> Portrait makes more sense = when the user scrolls, they will get the tips one by one, it will flow more successfully than reading it side to side
> the format of the tips in their individual boxes means they are more appropriate in such a portrait on top of each other layout
> This way the boxes can also be bigger and more readable
> The animated title can also be placed above which will make a coherent progression for the user as they scroll
