Development 2 - Further Animations

 > As wix does not allow links with videos but I still want to have animated elements to bring the user's attention towards interactive elements, making animated elements that surround the interactive images/icons is a way around this 

> These tongue in cheek sexual pixel cursors would be placed by the newspaper symbol to draw the users attention and cursor to this area, once they see their mouse interact with the newspaper symbol and change into a different cursor, this will have successfully drawn them to going to another page on the site for an article 





> Really wanted the game over heart symbol to feel intense in its flashing, like the heart is breaking, not just a smooth disappearing and reappearing 
> Reminding the viewer that this isn't just a digital game sphere of stories but a place representing real life, true stories, and also in reflection of how people during lockdown would sext and video call people with less control but they would be reminded every so often it is real contact 
> This hazy loss of division between reality and digital 
> In this way this idea could be emphasised more, and will do so as the website progresses in articles and tones towards more serious, sensitive and emotional 

> Less gaming aesthetic and language, more real images and a feminine organic touch

> Attempt 2 of making it animated when using Leon's laptop successful
> Shape of 3D form more appropriate than simply a rectangular shape as it feels more like a thin banner 
> Changed it from >tv to >gov as it is no longer relevant to link it to tv and will be confusing in reference to linking to government subverted posters and other subverted corona content

> In trying to bring together the collage aesthetic and more digital, porn inspired aesthetic, using the porn text boxes and bold type can be used to present the article text 
> Integration between the collage images and porn text boxes and layout 
> Follows similar structure to Aria's page in that it utilises both overlapping sections of images and aesthetics and will use parallax scrolling to present depth and dimensionality 
> This plays along with the direction of the main website page, which presents 3D visuals and a no grid system to reflect a sense of space rather than 2D site, to emphasise this notion of being in peoples' phones and brains during the lockdown

Identity EVALUATION

Alike to GAIA EXRTH, it was disappointing not being able to complete the brief within the timescale set out. I recognise that I like working a lot on passion projects and pushing them further and further, to the point that perhaps the goals I set are unrealistic or I spend too long on one level/area of the project. In this case this was a research brief and I set out to spend a lot of time doing research and testing ideas. I found this a more difficult brief to do within the covid landscape and felt less inspired, as I wanted to go out into the world and look at things, ask people, visit places and so on. This meant this project took a back seat and by the end of the year revisiting it so late on meant there was no time to fulfil the visions I had for the project. It's exciting however to have so many projects I'm interested in to be continuing after uni as it means I can keep the momentum up of designing and producing more ideas and more work. PPP Task 1 Research

  LAYOUTS and UX I've noticed design studios use for their sites: 1. Simple white layout or black and white layout, sans-serif bold text, no specific logo or style present, scroll down box images of each project 2. Introductory logo used as image window or general logo, interaction leads into actual site  3. More interesting layout utilises UX more and guides the user through the different areas with seamless arrows  4.
