Mia's Article
> Seeing the collages and colours gave me an anime feel
> Her images feel almost very anime-esque
> Utilised manga speech bubbles as a way to present her story and thoughts
> Manga squares and layout also hinted to with the blocks of visuals and colours overlapping each other
> Still references a digital scape with the desktop images, more of this digital could be presented, more desktop images screenshots dotted around?
> Pink 3D speech bubbles for dimension and consistent in colour with overall tone of piece
> Colours shift throughout visuals as user scrolls downs to present the change in tone of story itself, eg. brown muggy green tones for when talking about toxic relationship, towards a vibrant pink tone for when talking about finding a new passion and love (both self and with someone new)
> Overall imagery presents flowers and vibrant summer vibes, to reflect her as a person as a florist and to present the story as this chaotic, hazy summer experience
> Wanted to include further anime imagery in a manga layout, which led to use of boxes and other 3D shapes
> Incorporated anime style characters and visuals related to flowers and sex and love, but found that there were inconsistencies in styles within these different images
> Those which were bitmapped and used different tones with white in were more successful, and gave a 3D aesthetic, rather than the line drawings with no dimension (despite initially striving for more of the latter)
> Peer Feedback: More imagery of different ideas throughout article to make it consistent, eg. sex imagery only in one place, add to other boxed sections? Line flower doesn't feel too out of place but if it's annoying you swap it out
> Pull quote development: Initially boxed quotes to coincide with other visual boxed shapes, but after researching how manga presents speech and quote marks decided to take directly from this visual language and use the quote marks themselves as the boundaries for the quote
> Text not legible on such detailed backgrounds so adding the box as well as the quote marks made it a very prominent pull quote aesthetic
> But remembered wix allows videos to be used as a background, and this is a good opportunity to utilise this for this article
> Anime clip that presents this summer love aesthetic, soft and hazy
> Title made using repeated type visuals layered with different layering styles, to create this almost transient, glassy colourful aesthetic
> To reflect this chaotic, hazy summer story
> Type has transparent sections that interact with the moving background visual that also creates interesting interaction between these two layers whilst the user moves the page up and down
