SCRIPT 

Tell her she's useless to society. That she no longer holds a place in the world because she has reached the 'change'. The 'change' discussed in hushed tones with an air of taboo shame.

(pause)

Something major is happening in her body, but instead of accurate information she'll receive a barrage of negative messages and be slapped with depressing stereotypes. The angry neighbour, the snarky matriarch, the witch. An estimated 1.3 million women enter menopause every year in the U.S alone, which includes trans folk and non-binary people. Society does not present us with enough great aspirational menopausal individuals, and too many groups of people are unaware of the impact menopause can have on individuals' lives. 

(pause)

(More Positive, Upbeat, Stronger Tone)

Menopause is a natural way of making the physical changes necessary so we can continue to live a fulfilling and healthy life. Me_No_Pause is here to empower and educate, to create this change and show the world that there is power in our bodies that should be celebrated. 

It's an opportunity to take more risks, focus on caring for yourself, be liberated from periods, PMS and pregnancy from sex. It's a chapter for greater self-assurance, bonding and community. Choose to focus on the wonder and strength of a body that's served us resolutely through times of sickness, health, and physical challenge.

This is a new chapter, for those experiencing menopause and for society. Lets make a change, a change in perceptions, stereotypes and attitude. Conversations around menopause and its symptoms should be made freely by all individuals. Everyone is invited and encouraged to join in this conversation to create a more positive, educated and supportive society.

Identity EVALUATION

Alike to GAIA EXRTH, it was disappointing not being able to complete the brief within the timescale set out. I recognise that I like working a lot on passion projects and pushing them further and further, to the point that perhaps the goals I set are unrealistic or I spend too long on one level/area of the project. In this case this was a research brief and I set out to spend a lot of time doing research and testing ideas. I found this a more difficult brief to do within the covid landscape and felt less inspired, as I wanted to go out into the world and look at things, ask people, visit places and so on. This meant this project took a back seat and by the end of the year revisiting it so late on meant there was no time to fulfil the visions I had for the project. It's exciting however to have so many projects I'm interested in to be continuing after uni as it means I can keep the momentum up of designing and producing more ideas and more work. PPP Task 1 Research

  LAYOUTS and UX I've noticed design studios use for their sites: 1. Simple white layout or black and white layout, sans-serif bold text, no specific logo or style present, scroll down box images of each project 2. Introductory logo used as image window or general logo, interaction leads into actual site  3. More interesting layout utilises UX more and guides the user through the different areas with seamless arrows  4. Either all the outputs are seen together collectively small, or they are large, independent, you have to scroll/click through to get to different briefs  STUDIOS that produce work I'm interested in: YES — Featured - Mostly do site designs and UX which is something I have only touched on - But their aesthetic and direction is really similar to where I would picture myself going, feels very artistic, has touches of fine art there rather than other studios which feel extremely one dimensional graphic design, super commercial branding  - Work with lo...
