 Minor UX changes

> As developments continue fresh perspectives on layout and interaction continually are made as I look at it

> Tips n tricks too small text, but if the image is made larger scrolling down through the artcile makes it more clunky than being able to see most of the article on the page when hovering over the tips n tricks element

> Therefore went back to the design and enlarged the tips text on the original image so that the hover box can be small but the text larger

Main website page Development

> If you interact with image on wix main page it starts on separate page through link half way down then scrolls up to the top
> This means all the pop up elements already have popped up, and so it loses a lot of its animations
> Not sure there is any way to solve this? Wix issue?

Things needed

> Name + design of this at top of website (with description of UX)

> Explicit pop up box for start of website

> Singles newspaper link at start (means changing project pages order)

> Joely + lydia articles

> 4 more Tik Tok sister images for Rotating Gallery

> pictures of people's cats in gallery

> Corona virus poster link

> Finishing website on glitching break up vibes

> Don't think a whole other website page for the corona subverted posters is smart as there are only two of them, they are more like an additional fun pop up for the main page

> How can I link them on the main page in a hover/pop up?

> What would posters be in in a digital format? Folders?

> This may be too pixelated in aesthetic and makes the cockrona 3D rotating symbol feel inconsistent

> Peer Feedback = Use apple folders aesthetic like used in background, green type feels too garish

> Subversion of posters as aligned to sexual deviancy of young people stuck in lockdown and mistakes they've made with exs as a result of being isolated and lonely
> Subversion emphasised with glitch type in this section to show something not right, government statements going wrong
> Type same as that used on government campaigns as legible and quick to read
> Does not work on the background but this will change

> Want to create a metallic rotating medical cross gif so that the overall area feels cohesive with the cockrona motion video at the top

> Cat Gallery: Lots of low quality cat selfies to present that grungy at home smothering your cat with your loneliness vibe

> Surrounding cat gifs create motion and more visuals and communicate to the viewer about the cats being there for entertainment and love with the love hearts

> Additional pixel bubbles contextualising this gallery of cat pictures

Explicit pop up box for start of website

> pop-up window effect found through the use of lightboxes on wix
> created the cross exit function to coincide with the red exit box on the actual pop-up error message box
> also made it so that if the viewer clicks anywhere once seeing the message it will disappear, to ensure that the navigation is easy into the website

Background Change

> Background should be less detailed to allow the foreground elements on main website page are legible and easy to follow
> Basis on one of Joely's collage pieces that uses gradient mapping and similar pink and orange tones to create a textured one colour aesthetic piece
> Additional elements to create tone and context on the website (middle finger up cursor, peach and aubergine emojis, pixel sand timers, message bubbles etc.)
> Peer Feedback
Feels too one dimensional, is this orange tone the right colours?
Items in the foreground could be more coloured
More pixelated digital vibe would be more reflective of the overall website topic and direction, rather than this print texture aesthetic

> Blue tones more appropriate for a digital aesthetic

> More dimension between background and foreground, but use of different layer styles, opacity and gradient mapping allows all elements to interact with each other and make it feel like a 3D space rather than a 2D image

> Range of colours will mean every section is consistent with background

> No text and just use of visuals means all website sections will stand out above background (tested and successful)

> All different sections work successfully on new background, everything is more legible and the colour choices and dimensions of it mean it feels more like a digital space than before
> Flow of all sections and UX works well on main page
> Gaps to be filled with coming content

TO DO

- Finishing website on glitching break up vibes (or bringing the whole website to a more finished close, is there something we want the viewer to think about? To do?)

- Lockdown name and intro story

- Wait for Joely's stuff for other peoples' articles
