FACTS

around 13 million women who are currently peri or menopausal in the UK (Wellbeing of Women) – that’s equal to one third of the entire UK female population

2 Menopausal women are the fasted growing demographic in the workforce (Professor Jo Brewis, co-author Government Report on Menopause).

3 women now represent nearly half of the UK labour force.

4 (Image 1) Employers should be providing...
(Following images)
  • Greater awareness among managers of the menopause as a real occupational health issue
  • Provision of a culture where women feel comfortable about discussing their symptoms and what impact that has on their working lives
  • Options around flexible working hours and working arrangements to help manage symptoms
  • Improved access to support –formal or informal
  • Options to improve your work environment temperature and ventilation

With these and positive posts and quotes all content will:
> What menopause, perimenopause and perimenopause are
> Facts about menopause in the workplace
> More sensitive tone posts
> Positive and celebration tones
> Inspiring individuals

> Do these work as GIFS?
> Text isn't readable so quickly, gif function would have to be on just the focus words, perhaps with the quote marks moving rather than the type

> The segmented sections work well in readability and creating powerful pauses between each part of the quote
> The very first post does need to be more reflective of the overall quote however rather than one section
> Would having all of the text on one image be useful in presenting its full format or would this feel complicated and unnecessary?

> Video works well in highlighting it as a quote and so is good for main social media page in making it clear which posts are which

Peer Feedback
> Gifs are too fast to read but if you wanted to highlight specific words and show it in its full format within the first image, what about highlighting the focal words with colour or like in karaoke the use of shapes

> Animation of spinning quote marks only works once exported on one of three tests done
> Move to after effects means learning how to make form 3D and give metallic quality
> Was difficult but gradient mapping could be used on photoshop on exported video from after effects to change the colour for each quote mark
> Eventually meant more refined animation rather than photoshop version

> Random words don't really make sense on their own for some posts and it has a lot more impact when the first post is he whole quote (especially as its layout is the most interesting part)
> Following images in post could then be the segmented parts of the quote to help readability

> Too Abstract in visual representation of migraine
> More obvious presentation of pain = ! or

> More reocognisable as symbols for pain
> Works better as replacements for letter forms 'O'

> Warping of PMS reflecting sense of being squeezed, restricted, uncomfortable, cramping

> Negative space not consistent, 3D form needed
