> Too much on this spread compared to other spreads, need to be simplified with one less image and more negative space 




> Only white page in whole publication = needs to be made black for consistency 


> Use of body text in italics more successful than using the subheading type

> Subheading type does not work when in smaller pt


> Altered levels of brightness on background to ensure white text can be legible

> Background textures with both white and black areas is difficult to create clear text and so changes to their light tone or dark tone to ensure legibility is a successful change

 


> All headings and subheadings need to be made to interweave on photoshop now that they have been decided 



> Text needs to be rewritten for relevance

> Cannot be seen on leather background but works well on right hand image as a variation to normal type layout 



> Overall direction is going well, the type choices have continued to feel appropriate and powerful in elevating the tone
> Keeping the layouts, justified type and use of negative space and white photography background aesthetics all creates a strong consistent visual style that works well with the images and subject matter 
> Fulfils the brief and photographer's wishes on having an inspired vintage porn mag but with a more contemporary feel 
> White rectangle used behind images to make them feel like vintage stuck in images may need to be remade as its level of noise may be too high and make the concept less recognisable 
> Other images in these photographic white backgrounds may also need to be changed in shape as this last image is the only one in a square and must be kept in the publication as a central image

Identity EVALUATION

Alike to GAIA EXRTH, it was disappointing not being able to complete the brief within the timescale set out. I recognise that I like working a lot on passion projects and pushing them further and further, to the point that perhaps the goals I set are unrealistic or I spend too long on one level/area of the project. In this case this was a research brief and I set out to spend a lot of time doing research and testing ideas. I found this a more difficult brief to do within the covid landscape and felt less inspired, as I wanted to go out into the world and look at things, ask people, visit places and so on. This meant this project took a back seat and by the end of the year revisiting it so late on meant there was no time to fulfil the visions I had for the project. It's exciting however to have so many projects I'm interested in to be continuing after uni as it means I can keep the momentum up of designing and producing more ideas and more work. PPP Task 1 Research

  LAYOUTS and UX I've noticed design studios use for their sites: 1. Simple white layout or black and white layout, sans-serif bold text, no specific logo or style present, scroll down box images of each project 2. Introductory logo used as image window or general logo, interaction leads into actual site  3. More interesting layout utilises UX more and guides the user through the different areas with seamless arrows  4.
