> Lino carving of the mask needs to be done
> Laser cutting on 2 mm brown board from book binding 

REFINEMENTS
Interlinking between headings and subheadings 
Adding of quotes found by Ell on topic 
Changing of images for better edits  

SCHEDULE 
Binding wednesday, laser cutting and gf samples need to be tuesday 
Printing needs to be sent monday, printed tuesday and collected tuesday for binding wednesday 

PAPERS 
- A3 too small for A4 book as wraparound cover as no margin for error or edge cutting
- A2 pages no more than 1 sample for each
- Either need to reduce book size below A4 by 5 mm or purchase larger A2 sheets for cover 

- As cover is too be embossed on front this means no printing should be done on the inside of the cover, therefore additional spread needed at front and back of book 


> First page also allows no title of book needed on cover and can allow there to just be the embossed visual of gimp mask 


> last page interesting quote and unseen image in small for ending impression on topic for reader 


REFINEMENTS 

- all elements on pages made smaller for 10 mm smaller than A4 for cover sample papers 

- text must remain at 10 pts for readability 

- Only gimp page had separated heading and subheading, altered some title spreads to be in this format for consistency 


> Interlinking between heading and subheading here doesn't work as black stroke on heading and white fill on subheading creates a lack of depth when played around with 
> Also not enough interaction between both texts for it to be used in this way 

> Changes made to other spreads to use more gimp style title layouts should be changed back to ensure there is balance between the two styles 




LASER CUTTING 11-12 tuesday 
EMBOSSING 9:30 + BINDING 1:30 wednesday 

Need samples to come wednesday morning latest 
Means no printing on cover at all as will be too late if digital printing waits for samples 


> Only white background condoms available for under £50 on various websites 
> Black foiling means extra money 
> Shame as it would be more successful as a design in all black but black and white still works cohesively with publication in black and white itself 

> Still need to make/find small black covers 


> Cardboard box good alternative to trying to find an expensive sex boys to present publication in as art piece/artefact

Identity EVALUATION

Alike to GAIA EXRTH, it was disappointing not being able to complete the brief within the timescale set out. I recognise that I like working a lot on passion projects and pushing them further and further, to the point that perhaps the goals I set are unrealistic or I spend too long on one level/area of the project. In this case this was a research brief and I set out to spend a lot of time doing research and testing ideas. I found this a more difficult brief to do within the covid landscape and felt less inspired, as I wanted to go out into the world and look at things, ask people, visit places and so on. This meant this project took a back seat and by the end of the year revisiting it so late on meant there was no time to fulfil the visions I had for the project. It's exciting however to have so many projects I'm interested in to be continuing after uni as it means I can keep the momentum up of designing and producing more ideas and more work. PPP Task 1 Research

  LAYOUTS and UX I've noticed design studios use for their sites: 1. Simple white layout or black and white layout, sans-serif bold text, no specific logo or style present, scroll down box images of each project 2. Introductory logo used as image window or general logo, interaction leads into actual site  3. More interesting layout utilises UX more and guides the user through the different areas with seamless arrows  4.
